Drive Time Links Up with Cornwall Wildlife Trust

Here at Drive Time, we have teamed up with the Cornwall Wildlife Trust www.cornwallwildlifetrust.org.uk in order to do our bit to help the local wildlife and environment. We will be donating 20p from every lesson to the Trust in order to help them with their conservation projects throughout Cornwall.

The Trust is a registered charity, founded in 1962, which fulfils a role occupied by no other countryside organisation. They are concerned solely with Cornwall and are involved in the many aspects of conserving Cornwall's wildlife and wild places.

In addition to this, Drive Time has delivered an Eco-Safe Driving course for staff at the Wildlife Trust. The first part of the course involved a power point presentation on the benefits of eco-driving, two professionally produced video presentations on eco-driving techniques and a question and answer session on general driving queries. We do find that this part of the course appeals especially to younger drivers who are more used to modern technology such as mobile broadband. The second part of the course involved taking staff out in pairs in a car to assess the standard of their eco driving and to give pointers as to how they could improve their technique and to give tips as to how, with minor changes to their driving style, they could save fuel, reduce emissions and become much safer drivers.
